SkillsAdvance Ontario (SAO) is an initiative of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and is intended to support workforce development in identified key growth sectors. SAO will support sector-based workforce development by funding partnerships that connect employers with the employment and training services required to recruit and advance workers with the right essential, technical, and employability skills. For additional information on SkillsAdvance Ontario and other employment and training initiatives offered through Employment Ontario, check out the Employment Ontario website.
The project will support participating employers and workers through:
Sector based needs assessment to identify workforce development needs, specifically job vacancies to be filled and the employability, essential, and technical skills required to succeed in them.

The EOCC-CCEO will work with you to determine the best training location and timing to minimize workplace disruption. In many cases, training is delivered on-site at an employer location. If space is not available, the EOCC-CCEO will make necessary arrangements to find a suitable off-site location. In cases where the training is highly technical and requires access to equipment/machinery, the training may occur at the trainer location (i.e. at a College Campus or third party training site). Depending on the training required, training can be delivered during work hours or in the evenings/weekends.
